In Mount Holly, New Jersey, the Robin's Nest Restaurant experienced a makeover using the roof coatings from Andek Corporation. The metal panels date back approximately 150 years and were showing its age.
The photos illustrate the use of Polaprime 21, Polaroof AC and Roofab.

For the owner of the restaurant, a restoration project offered several benefits:
Cost of restoration project totaled less than 50% compared to a new metal roof
Restaurant remained open during renovation
Restoration meant preserving instead of replacing
Traditional appearance was maintained, instead of a new roof look
Ten year warranty against leakage is included
The roofing surface is cleaned then Polaprime 21 primer from Andek Corporation is applied. Polaprime 21 not only retards the rust, but strengthens the metal. For this type of metal panels, only the strongest primer would work.

The crew embeds the Roofab in coatings of Polaroof AC acrylic. Seams are sealed with acrylic. A total of four applications of acrylic are used in this system.

If you are confused about the use of red or grey acrylic in these, there is a simple explanation. After the primer was applied, the owner changed her mind about her final tint preference--from a Haddonfield red to a dark grey. In order to keep the crew working while awaiting the replacement grey acrylic, they used some of the Haddonfield red Polaroof AC acrylic for base work. The owner explained her decision as follows: The large restaurant with a red roof tended to dominate that Main St corner; she thought a slate grey roof would blend the building more attractively into the atmosphere of the area. Again, she illustrated the importance of color selection in a roofing tin restoration project. Andek makes a wide selection of tints
The handling of the Roofab involves using Polaroof AC acrylic. The work along the roof edges illustrate its use.
